- Santiam
Wine & Bistro October/Nov. Red
Cheap and Cheap $92.70 - includes
your 10% savings.
- 2020 Masi Campofiorin Rosso Verona
$19. Roasted black plums dance with
candied violets and warm baking
spices, inviting you to take a sip.
Lush and velvety, the palate reveals
blackberry pie filling, perfectly
balanced by a lively acidity. This
well-structured, elegant wine finishes
with an earthy, savory streak, making
it an ideal companion for braised or
roasted dishes that are
unapologetically savory.
- 2022 Pendulum Cabernet Sauvignon
Columbia Valley $18 A wisp of violets
and bay leaves is joined by aromas of
black cherries and pot roast. A
balanced wine with an elegant texture,
the Pendulum swings toward blackberry
jam, phyllo dough, and black tea
flavors. Grab yourself a turkey burger
with tomato relish to pair with this
outstanding value. —91 Points Michael

- Old Vine Red Lot # 75 Geyserville CA
$15. 70% Zinfandel, 15% Syrah, 5%
Petite Sirah, 5% Merlot, 3% Grenache,
2% Barbera. Affectionately known as
“OVR,” Marietta’s Old Vine Red is a
proprietary red wine made to replicate
the field blends of the old vineyards
in Sonoma and Mendocino counties. A
groundbreaking combination of grape
varieties and multiple vintages first
produced in 1982; this wine has blazed
the path for red blends for decades.
With the historic underground
following, it is one of the longest
lasting and best-known red blends
produced today. Predominantly
comprised of Zinfandel, Old Vine Red
combines pure fruit, a supple mouth
feels and a rich, solid structure.
Food Pairing Prime rib, roasted
vegetables or even Turkey!
- Austin Hope Troublemaker Red Blend
Central Coast $16 Inspired by
varieties that flourish in Paso Robles
and California's Central Coast,
Troublemaker is a truly distinct Paso
blend consisting of Syrah, Grenache,
Mourvedre, Petite Syrah and Zinfandel.
By using a multi-vintage approach,
winemaker Austin Hope allows the wine
to show uncanny complexity in its
youth, yet rich and fruit-forward
characteristics that make it ready
upon release. With rich aromatics that
display hints of smoke and violets,
bright fruit on the palate and a long
finish, Troublemaker shows amazing
depth and structure.
- 2023 Heron Cabernet Sauvignon CA
$17. Tasting notes: Blackberry, plum
and dark chocolate are balanced by
more Bordelaise qualities of cedar
wood, pencil lead, and black pepper,
followed by soft tannins and hints of
vanilla on the finish.
- 2021 La Fortuna, Fortunello $18.
While La Fortuna is primarily known
for producing Brunello, they still
make about 15,000 bottles of
declassified Sangiovese, labeled
"Fortunello," every year. You can
enjoy the wine's rich red fruit and
herbal qualities.
- Santiam
Wine & Bistro OCT/ NOV 2025.
White Cheap & Cheerful $98.10
- 2023 Lamblin & Fils Bourgogne
Blanc, France $20 The Lamblin family
has been farming their Domaine on the
very northern edge of Chablis for
three centuries. This simply made and
classically styled Bourgogne Blanc is
incredible value, offering everything
you want from Chablis. The wine comes
from vineyards on both Kimmeridgian
limestone inside Chablis. Notes of
pear butter, brioche, green apple, and
salty shortbread make up the aroma,
while the palate is supple yet tightly
strung with limestone minerality and a
flinty edge with flavors of
buttercream, lime, and lemon curd.
- 2024 Festival Sauvignon Blanc Horse
Heaven Hills $18 This Horse Heaven
Hills Sauvignon Blanc is all about
freshness. With notes of citrus,
grapefruit, and a light salinity on
the palate. This is a light-bodied
high-acid wine ideal for food pairing,
especially given its low alcohol level
at 12.5%. We prepared a Greek mezze
plate, eggplant rollatini with sharp
provolone, assorted olives, pickled
onion, and hummus smear. This is a
dry, perky acid acid-driven wine that
should be a crowd pleaser at any party
or patio gathering. Aged in neutral
oak, which accounts for the creaminess
and mid-palate texture.
- 2024 Pine Ridge Chenin Blanc Napa
Valley $14 Crisp, bright, and
vivacious! The Chenin Blanc opens with
vibrant aromas of kiwi and fresh-cut
melon, followed by key lime zest and
white flowers. Hints of honeysuckle,
jasmine, white peach, and nectarine
add depth of flavor. The Viognier
lends a luscious mouthfeel with exotic
notes of lychee and orange blossom,
while the Chenin Blanc provides
structure and a signature citrus
character. - perfect on its own Blend:
80% Chenin Blanc, 20% Viognier
- 2024 Mount Fishtail Sauvignon Blanc
$17 A complex white, offering notes of
lemon curd, grilled pineapple, Key
lime, and lemon sage, plus a touch of
passion fruit, all on a sleek and
smooth frame, with a fresh, refreshing
finish. Drink now. 90 Points Wine

- 2024 Renewal Pinot Gris Wilamette
Valley $20This bright wine pours a
pale straw hue, offering delicate
aromas of crushed gravel, white
flowers, and a burst of lime zest over
fresh melon. On the palate, it
delivers a lively balance of tart
green apple and citrus, driven by
vibrant acidity that keeps each sip
crisp and refreshing. The finish is
clean and palate-cleansing, with hints
of underripe peach.
- 2023 Mallea Grenache Blanc Santa
Barbara County $20 100% Grenache Blanc
from Coteaux de Clair Vineyard in
Santa Ynez Valley. A small vineyard
farmed oganically by hand. The fruit
is whole cluster pressed to stainless
tank for native fermentation, raised
in tank on fine less for about 4
months prior to bottling.
